LAKES & AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK The glistening waters of Lake Nakuru and Lake Elementaita will greet you after travelling across the Rift Valley. Keep your eyes peeled for colourful birdlife, including flamingos, the Great White Pelican, and the endangered Rothschild giraffe. Lying in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli National Park is one of the best places to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here, ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands.
