Getting around Seychelles

ISLAND LIFE When you’re in the Seychelles, embracing local island life is always encouraged. If you’re wondering the best way to get around each island, we’ve got you. On the island of La Digue, bicycles are the main form of transport for many locals and tourists. On the islands of Mahé and Praslin, a wide-ranging bus service operates with cheap fares and frequent services.

AIR Flights from Mahé depart from the domestic terminal at Seychelles International Airport, located about five miles south of Victoria; the Praslin Airport can be found on the island’s northwest coast. A one-way trip takes roughly 15 minutes, and flights depart approximately every hour. For a more luxurious journey, book a private flight between the islands with ZilAir, which flies helicopters between all the inner Seychelles islands. Mahé to La Digue: Around 33 miles (53 kilometres) apart, ferries go multiple times a day, taking around 90 minutes. Mahé to Cerf Island: It takes under 10 minutes to reach Cerf by ferry from Mahé – a quick and easy transfer. Praslin to La Digue: This commute is a short 15-minute ferry trip between these islands and is available daily. La Digue to Felicite Island: This short but exciting trip takes only 15 minutes by ferry - depart and arrive hassle-free.
