AEROMÉXICO A member of the SkyTeam® alliance alongside Air France, KLM, Delta and more, Aeroméxico connects Mexico City with London Heathrow in under 12 hours. Its network then opens up close to 100 destinations, not just across Mexico, but in South, Central and North America. A fleet featuring Boeing 787 Dreamliners and the fuel-efficient Boeing 737 MAX offers Main Cabin economy, AM Plus premium and Clase Premier business class services, all with free drinks and many with personal in-flight entertainment systems. LATAM AIRLINES Receiving a raft of accolades at the Skytrax 2025 World Airline Awards – being named South America’s Best Airline while also topping the region for Economy Class, Business Class, Cabin Crew, Airline Staff and Onboard Catering – the flag carrier of Chile and Peru makes moving around South America easy. Connecting more than 70 destinations in nine countries, LATAM offers Economy, Premium Economy and Premium Business cabins with a range of comforts and catering across its routes. Passengers on shorter flights access entertainment systems through their personal devices, while longer journeys are equipped with seatback screens and in-flight dining options.

With the world’s leading airlines, that holiday feeling begins long before you arrive at your destination. On tailor-made journeys, the flight, airport, stopovers, cabin class and even your meals are never an afterthought – they’re the start of the adventure.

BRITISH AIRWAYS

WORLD TRAVELLER PLUS With over 100 years of flying heritage, British Airways has been a pioneer from the word go. The first international scheduled service. The first transatlantic pure jet service. The first fully flat bed. Today, BA links more than 200 destinations in over 65 countries, including a dozen in South and Central America. Famous for its onboard hospitality, the UK’s flag carrier showcases British brand tea, coffee and fizz alongside its three course mid-flight meals. The modern fleet offers the latest comforts in all its cabins. And, thanks to the BA Better World commitment, it’s a driving force for sustainable flying. Start your journey stress-free with priority boarding. Then sink into a seat that’s a little wider, reclines further and has at least six inches more legroom. BA’s premium cabin is smaller, so it still feels quiet when you take off the noise-cancelling headphones of your personal entertainment system. In-seat power, extra baggage, and a glass of sparkling wine to toast the flight, all on top of the usual high-quality BA services – what could be better? Well… As the first airline to install a fully lie-flat bed over 25 years ago, you’d expect nothing less in BA’s long-haul business class cabins today. And it gets better. Club World travellers enjoy dedicated check-in, lounge access, luxury bedding, and a choice of enhanced meals served restaurant-style as starter, main course and dessert. On some routes, private Club Suites provide extra personal space, while an optional home baggage pick-up service helps keep journeys hassle-free from the very first step. CLUB WORLD

British Airways Business Class

AIR EUROPA Based in Spain, the four-decade-old Air Europa might be a spring chicken compared with the other airlines on these pages, but don’t let that cloud your judgement. Connecting the UK with approximately 15 destinations in South and Central America, plus more in the USA and Caribbean, its fleet of Boeing 737s and Dreamliners offers one of the most comfortable ways to travel across the Atlantic from Europe. Economy seats feature a 30-inch seat pitch. Options to upgrade include XL Seats for more room within the Economy cabin, a brand new Premium cabin on selected routes, or a private Business Club pod with lie-flat seats and meals created by chef Martín Berasategui, the most Michelin-starred chef in Spain.

U nder 12 hours’ direct flight from London, Brazil is one of the easiest South American spots to reach and the ideal place for starting an adventure. It’s got big cities, song worthy sands, iconic waterfalls, and abundant wetlands. Then there’s the little matter of around 60% of the Amazon rainforest being here. A holiday to Brazil is a carnival of experiences, and a sensational first step for a continental expedition. Most journeys in Brazil begin in Rio de Janeiro, one of the world’s most vibrant cities. Its twin landmarks, Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain, stand proud above colourful hillside favelas, overlooking household-name beaches from Copacabana to Ipanema. And once you’ve sampled the city that loves to samba, the Earth’s fifth-largest country is at your feet. See the planet’s biggest waterfall system at Iguazu. Ride on horseback through the marshes of the Pantanal. Sail from the mansion-lined avenues of Manaus to where the Rio Solimões and Rio Negro meet, forming the Amazon River as clashing coloured waters slowly merge. Lastly, spend three nights in Salvador. Join a guided city tour which will take you through the tree-lined streets to Pelourinho, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with colonial architecture. Stop at São Francisco Church and admire the gold leaf baroque design. The next day, tour a different part of Salvador. The lower city has a slower pace of life where fishermen fish from canoes, and locals collect shellfish at low tide. The tour finishes at the Monserrat district, where you can enjoy scenic views and pick up souvenirs at a thriving market.

Start with two nights at Iguazu Falls. Explore the Brazilian Iguazu National Park on an organised tour, head out on a jeep-towed wagon ride along a three kilometre trail whilst guides explain the local flora and fauna. Then hop off and hike to some waterfalls. If you wish, you can take a refreshing dip in the water. The tour concludes with a boat ride upriver to Devil’s Throat, past canyons and rapids. You can’t come to Iguazu Falls and not see them from Argentina as well, so cross the Tancredo Neves Bridge and board a small train. Jump off and follow the walkways to the top of the waterfalls, a different view compared to the Brazilian side. Next is Rio de Janeiro, where you’ll spend the next three nights. After landing, visit Sugarloaf Mountain and ride the cable car to the top. The next day, a guide will take you to Corcovado Mountain, where you will ride a train to the world wonder, Christ the Redeemer, and take in even more panoramic views. In the afternoon, head to Samba City, also known as Cidade do Samba, where the Rio Carnival floats and costumes are stored. 8 DAY AMAZON AND PANTANAL EXPLORER INDEPENDENT TOUR WILDLIFE NATURE

Essentials Duration: 8 days and 7 nights Highlights: • Enjoy a snorkelling activity in the Enchanted Aquarium and the Salobra River • Tour of the waterfalls throughout the Chapada dos Guimaraes National Park • Paddle down the Clarinho River and explore the riverbanks and mangroves in search of giant river otters • Trek the Howler Monkey trail to the Howler Monkey Tower, an observation point for animals and the sunset Includes: • 4 nights’ accommodation in the Amazon (split across two lodges)

Amazon | Pantanal

Explore the picturesque Amazon and diverse Pantanal on this tour, which starts and ends in Cuiabá. The Amazon is the world’s largest tropical rainforest, while the Pantanal is the world’s largest tropical wetland. Explore the Amazon with a guide and learn about the diverse flora and fauna. Go canoeing on the Claro River and explore Anaconda Lake. Tour the waterfalls at the Chapada dos Guimaraes National Park and see the vegetation-covered sandstone rocks, singing birds, and waterfalls. Then head down to the Pantanal, which boasts a diverse landscape and is renowned for its excellent wildlife viewing opportunities, thanks to its expansive open spaces. Canoe down rivers, keeping an eye out for giant river otters. Trek to see howler monkeys; you will probably hear them before you see them, though, as they have deep roars or howls. You will also head out on a night safari to spot nocturnal animals. The last activity of the trip sees you horseback riding on a Pantaneiro horse to see more of the Pantanal’s diverse landscape.

I n a competition for Brazil’s best wilderness, the Amazon must win – right? Over a billion acres of rainforest. The Earth’s mightiest river. A giant ecosystem, vital to life as we know it. What could compare? Well, there is the Pantanal. It’s 28 times smaller, but still the planet’s largest tropical wetland and one of our most biodiverse habitats. Could it be a draw? You’ll have to visit them both and tell us. Fly to Manaus, the Amazon’s grandest gateway. Sail where multi-shaded waters of two rivers meet, spotting pink dolphins and piranhas in the waves as you scan for monkeys and sloths in trees. Learn traditional skills from caboclo communities, listen to the jungle from the cosy comfort of a hammock, and trek through untouched forest by moonlight. The Pantanal is packed with creatures like capybaras, giant otters, maned wolves, peccaries, coatis and, if you’re lucky, elegant and elusive jaguars. Fly to Cuiaba and explore the sprawling wetlands by 4x4 and on floating safaris, or visit the fazendas of Mato Grosso do Sul to ride horseback through the marshes. The Amazon and the Pantanal are both reachable from Rio, with direct flights into Cuiaba and Manaus. Wild twin-centre? Why not! Or just explore one, the decision is yours.

• 3 nights’ accommodation in Pantanal • 7 breakfasts, 6 lunches and 7 dinners • Daily tours

• Arrival and departure transfers to Cuiaba Airport • Return international flights and internal flights
