Take a tour through the lush vegetation and hike to Macuco Falls to enjoy a refreshing dip. Take a boat ride upriver, passing canyons and rapids to Devil’s Throat, where you can get up close to the falls. You’ll also hop over to Argentina to admire the falls from a different angle. View the falls from the top on a suspended platform at the brink of Devil’s Throat. It’s time to head to Rio de Janeiro for the second part of the itinerary. In Rio, your guide will take you to Sugarloaf, where you can ascend the mountain by cable-car and enjoy 360-degree views of the entire city. Another must-see is Christ the Redeemer, situated at the summit of Corcovado Mountain. And you can’t come to Rio without getting into the Carnival spirit, visit Samba City and see floats and costumes from each samba school.

Rio de Janeiro | Paraty | Ilha Grande

Start this escorted tour in the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro, check into your hotel, and then enjoy an orientation walk around the streets of Rio. On day two, the group heads to Paraty, a four-and a-half-hour journey away. Once you arrive, you will have a couple of days at leisure to relax and explore. Continue with the next part of the adventure, transferring to Angra, where you will then board a ferry to Ilha Grande. The total journey time is approximately five hours. Ilha Grande is an island with lush green rainforests, unspoiled sandy beaches and a fascinating history. Spend a couple of days exploring. Lopes Mendes and Aventureiro Beach are two of the best beaches to check out, or maybe book a boat trip out to the Blue Lagoon, beach hopping through Ilha Grande Bay along the way. The last couple of days are spent back in Rio, soaking up the sun on Copacabana Beach, seeing the mighty Christ the Redeemer statue, and walking down the colourful Escadaria Selarón Steps.
